I bimbofied my SQE1 notes and honestly it's the only way I'm retaining anything

I'm currently studying for the January 2027 sitting (currently using 25/26 Revise SQE/ULaw textbooks).

When I started earlier this year, I was hitting a wall with the standard materials. Everything was just too dense to retain, and I knew that fundamentally understanding the basic legal principle would serve me better in the long run than rote learning pages and pages of dry legal textbooks.

Which is why I 'bimbofied' my notes - ABSOLUTE GAMECHANGER and this is a tip that I recommend to everyone.

When you break down the legalese and insert pop culture references, active recall comes so much easier. Remember, the more ludicrous, the better.

Sharing a few pages from my Contract notes in case anyone else is struggling with the same thing. I've done all of FLK1 and FLK2 .

Contract drafting tips for celebrities and talent management agencies?

Hi! I’ve just joined a contract drafting competition.

The context is: There is a talent management company called Vortex. They will be acting as Singer X’s exclusive talent manager. They are now going to execute a Talent Management Agreement.

So it contains terms like: Definitions and Interpretation, Appointment and Exclusivity, Term and Renewal, Revenue, Commission and Payment Structure etc.

Does anyone have any idea how to draft this? Am I supposed to look up a standard doc on Westlaw for this? If yes, what are my next steps for this?

2nd Year of UG affecting applications?

Hello! I did an LLB and LLM from diff RG unis and got a 2.1 in both overall (first in PG dissertation). I’ve had no luck securing VS and TCs since. Might it be because my grades dipped in Y2 of UG? Pretty badly - a 2.2 and Third in two modules which brought me down to a 2.2 overall that year. Bounced back with a high 2.1 next year which eventually saved me in UG. But is that one year an issue?

2:2 RG law degree. Is a TC still possible?

Basically what the title says. I have documented mitigating circumstances (needed to miss out on a significant portion of my second year) and had to defer all exams which affected second year grades. First year is a 2:1, third year is a 2:1, but my overall degree classification is a 2:2 (59%). I have MC work experience, first year schemes at mid-market regional firms and a few ACs too that i couldnt convert. This was before i received my final degree result though. Really really not sure if I can still do anything. If it helps ive also received law school prizes each year of my degree, but that doesnt change the grade and its unlikely they can round it up. Im starting the LLM SQE1&2 at Ulaw this september, but i dont know if anything is going to come out of it. Please help me out here, what do I need to do
