At the bottom of the PFO email it says
"Whilst we understand this update may be disappointing, it was a difficult decision for us given the high calibre of your application, however we received significant interest in our Trainee Associate Programme this year and as such places on our assessment centre were extremely competitive.

We would encourage you to reapply to us in future application cycles and hope that you will continue to check our early careers site for upcoming events and opportunities."

Not necessarily, got to WG last year too and didn’t get that, and I think @isTeapp mentioned doing WG too?

That's why I said I assume everyone got told it. Some firms it's genuine and not sent to everyone but seemed unlikely this time.

It's about 50/50. You shouldn't be at any advantage or disadvantage regardless of which one you apply to, which is fair enough as the VS is only open to second year students.

Believe they said they wouldn't send out PFO's, just interview invites, and that if you hadn't heard by 23rd Feb then you were unsuccessful

Its typically been about 50/50 so I wouldn't worry too much about which route you take.

asked for my WG and i scored 98th percentile. so defo my application that meant i didnt get to the ac LOL
