RE Cleary ALevels: are they strict on this requirement if we have all firsts in modules. I don’t quite meet the Alevel requirement - a bit far off but not extreme.
Thanks for replying! I suppose I'm still within the 'acceptable' timeframe, I applied 9 days ago and still nothing. How was the SJT and have you heard back since?
Did anyone else not receive a confirmation after completing HL second test and W&C VI?
Has anyone heard back from Covington yet? I need to book a holiday and want to know confirm dates.
I didn't receive a confirmation post W&C VI but my account shows that I've completed the task.
I thought it was ok! I think lol. Standard scenario based questions, the slider thing to rank options, a section on numerical questions and then their own version of WG. I haven’t heard back- completed it last Sunday
They replied to my mail saying they don't fill the AC until all applications are screened, and thus after tomorrow dealing and screening the rest of the applications, and their WGT, one might hear back ig.
Hi everyone would like some advice/opinions.
I applied for a legal/compliance internship at a huge hedge (very renowned and prestigious)
Anyway, after initial application, was sent a link to online test to do (similar to how law firms send SJT/ WG) however I had issues accessing the test and therefore the link expired ( my fault and I take responsibility)
I did email and try and explain the situation in a way that didn’t make me sound like a fool and requested if they could send me a fresh link. Never had a response from HR/recruitment so didn’t think about it.
Today, received an email that was not in response to the one I sent about my online test issue. It stated that I remain a strong candidate and still in the pipeline and they are reviewing my application and will reach out with next steps soon.
I’m assuming I’m still under consideration but it’s hard to believe as it’s impossible to bypass the test requirement even for law firms. If you don’t complete an online test it’s normally a rejection email.
Does anyone have any experience or advice on this. Perhaps I won’t get too excited.

The one on Thursday, the 6th. They reply within a week of the date, so I assume people who applied for the one on the 13th should hear back on the 6th.
I’d just ring them to discuss it directly - these businesses get so many emails you just get lost, whereas a phone call gets straight down to the matter in hand!

The only thing to take from this is that you were a very STRONG candidate and it was a tough call for them to make! Chin up, on to the next ones.
I’m still waiting to do my VI for it so guessing I’m not being progressed after the SJT. Trying to work out if this now means I would get rejected for a VS application
This person said in their post history, they recieved the second test two weeks after the first - hope I read that correctly. Maybe we are just waiting for that - let’s see.
Also Latham had a virtual zoom webinar on their pvt credit practice and I very kindly but extensively asked (in one question) about this open day and for clarity on progression to the second SJT and VI. Lo and behold, grad rec replied to everyone else’s question in the Q&A box on zoom, apart from mine.

Yeah but if you don’t pass the tests, then application doesn’t get reviewed so that would technically mean a rejection.
So if John smith submits a vac scheme application, his SJT that he completed for the open day would be used for that vac scheme app?
