DLA AC! Finally

DLA AC!!!! This is my first ever AC invite ever, I’m equally excited and terrified! Thanks to everyone on here for the helpful tips and general good vibes.
Question - what’s the likelihood of them letting me do another AC date? This one is the day before my FLK1 🫠😂

also im basically certain that DLA would be able to accommodate your request to change your AC date, seeing how theyre a mammoth who host several ACs each year

probably a good thing you haven't yet - they seem to be sending out PFOs only at the moment, so pray you don't hear back!! I would assume AC invites will be sent in the new year! Good luck!

May I ask when you applied > did tests and was it for spring or summer?

Yes thankfully I have two VS lined up already so not fussed and culturally I don’t think I’d be keen to work there - I did the test when they first started issuing them I think in early November!

Yeah I wasted my time on that Weil SJT + VI. Definitely guessed for the maths Qs... After that SJT I was just soooo drained for the VI questions. PFO me asap pls it's okay xx

for HSFK i got 1 2:2 grade but averaged a very high 2:1 in first year - i had extenuating circumstances for it though do they still accept it? also idk if i j completely misheard but i attended an open day with them and grad rec said they do sometimes overlook the odd 2:2 grade w no ec but ive seen messages saying otherwise

My online assessment for Addleshaw was a Critical Assessment, so written but no SJT

It's fine. You're not borderline their minimum requirements anyway, the occasional 2:2 in your first year really isn't an indicator of any sort of transferable quality to being a lawyer. Even if they do PFO it won't be because of one 2:2. Unfortunately you'll never know if they reject you on that basis anyway. I applied with some 2:2 grades and a high 2:1 overall so we will see. They care about academics but not to the extent that your other experience and motivation are irrelevant.
