Guys I'm doing Clifford Chance's Middle East Vac Scheme application and I would appreciate any help on how to approach this question; it says "In no more than 1440 characters including spaces (this is approx. 200 words), what are your motivations for applying to the Middle East?" They didn't mention why Clifford Chance in this question like they had done 2 years ago when I had applied previously. Should I approach this question by mainly talking about the Middle East alone? Thank you!

Not silly at all, I’d probably wear them for the commute and then change into formal shoes just before going in. They’ll have a cloakroom so you can leave your things there.

This Summer Vacation Scheme process will involve three stages - you need to pass each stage to reach the next:

- Written application (deadline midday 14 January 2026)


and then

Applications open at midday on Monday 3 November 2026 and close on Friday 14 January 2026 at midday.

Please note, we respond to all applications made, and will get back to you by March 2026. Once you have submitted your application there is no further action required by you.

Ive heard that Baker releases AC invites in different batches!!! So hopefully not all is lost.
Also on the online platform has anyone written AC next to their application (in the application stage bit on the right)? Just wondering if it means anything (trying to hold on hope lol)

Same here, mine also says "AC" on the system.
Not sure if it means anything, but maybe it just means we're in an AC pool waiting to be picked up.

thank you! my ac is for spring though not summer scheme
