Anyone been placed on a reserve list for a VS before? Assuming my chances from now are slim, but would be interested to know if there are any people who actually got a place after people dropped out.

Is it a summer VS? There is a chance that some candidates get a TC offer before then and will therefore not go ahead with the VS so there is always hope.

Hey, my friend was on the reserve list for Pinsents and got a place after someone dropping out! It does happen so would definitely remain positive!

My friend was on the reserve list for travers smith, someone dropped out and they got a place on the scheme and is now a future trainee. I really hope you get a place!

I think your chances are quite high as sometimes people can't attend vac schemes if there are clashes with another scheme, or it clashes with exams, or they just have too many offers and feel it's right to just let someone else get a chance

Its actually quite common. The chances of someone dropping out are highly dependent on the size of the intake, and whether they are ahead of their competitors in terms of the recruitment process.
