I think it definitely does, as long as you show you are interested in the firm and have found your work experience meaningful/its made u realise you want to pursue a career at the firm and whyfollow up question (forgive the ramble): do you guys reckon having work experience (and actively working) at the law firm you're applying to for a vac scheme give any meaningful advantage? (i.e. 6 months working [at a different office than the one you're applying to] while on a year abroad)
Put in the company contact details not your manager specifically this way they’ll go to HR to confirm your employment. This has happened to me before so don’t worry.for referees on apps - will it look bad if i say no to the firm directly contacting my referees? (i would want to get in touch beforehand with my old boss lol)
yes probably. ud wanna ask your boss before and get confirmation before u submit the app so they can contact them directly. id avoid saying no cause I think its an unspoken expectation to liaise with referees beforefor referees on apps - will it look bad if i say no to the firm directly contacting my referees? Congrats! When did you hear back? Is the AC in February?Any insights into RPC AC would be appreciated please![]()
I wouldn't worry about giving long answers in AC as long as you keep it to the point. My past experience with AC is that the interviewers won't stop you or grade you down for it. You've got this!Help what do you do if your AC/verbal answers for why law and why this firm are still very long🥲 idk which point to cuttt
Just realised I made two Americanised spellings in an application (visualize and prioritize) is this an auto-reject? I don’t know why Word didn’t pick it up this time it normally does 😭
Probably not an auto-rejection. If somebody reading it picks up on this inconsistency (if you use British versions elsewhere), then it might be a point of differentiation between strong applications if they pick up on that, but I doubt there will be a system rejecting applications for that without reading them.Just realised I made two Americanised spellings in an application (visualize and prioritize) is this an auto-reject?
