Does anyone have any advice for feeling cripplingly underprepared for an assessment centre? I have two this week and have had basically no time to prepare :(
me toooo I have two this week and have still not started preparing because I have essays dueee

honestly, there's nothing you can do apart from prepare as much as you can with the time you have left (that's how I am going to go about it once these dreadful essays are out of the way). Get your basics and fundamentals down, and the rest will be up to luck and general knowledge on the day I guess.

I found feeling stressed and worrying about this issue quite redundant - stressing won't help you win back more time or help you feel more prepared (it's a perpetual cycle lol)

honestly, trust me, you will be fine!! everyone feels underprepared going into ACs because it's just so uncertain and high-stakes. But I'm sure despite feeling underprepared, you might actually find that you are prepared after all. Don't underestimate the work you've done previously and your raw abilities when under pressure!

the best you can do for yourself right now given the circumstances is to use the time remaining efficiently, remain calm, and go in there with confidence! Best of luck!! let's hope this week goes well for both of us! 🤞

Eek It has been a MINUTE since I used TSR, how would this work?
ehhhh good question ! I would follow their method (Google form which can be filled in by anyone and responses then showing on a Google sheet), but it’s tricky as there’s not really a way to verify/spot fake/troll responses but I don’t want some random user/non TCLA staff member to have access to that lol. unless it’s compulsory to upload proof/email screenshots ?

It depends on how much time you have to manage/maintain it. With Google, you can add in response verification - e.g. a codeword. When somebody wants to participate it, they can be added to a group chat on TCLA, and then every couple of weeks, change/update the codeword (posting the new one to the group). Of course, it relies on trust - but it means if somebody posts false info, they can be removed from the group.

Alternatively, I can try think of a specific polling system that exists (or try to code a basic one and host it on AWS or something if I have time). Very simple, when a user requests it we add a firm to the list. Then people can submit for that firm whenever they receive progression / PFO, and it is tracked on a graph with dates etc. Different colours for PFO/progression. Again, some sort of password verification process, like with Google Forms.
^ Maybe something already exists like this for a xenforo add on, though? I haven't used XenForo since I last hosted a Minecraft server.

(I seem like such a nerd reading this back lol).

Hi! Need some insight on this - I have an AC coming up for a vac scheme i really really want. I received an email outlining whats gonna happen but I was wondering if its acceptable for me to email and ask who is going to me interviewing me? I feel a bit hesitant as maybe theres a reason they haven't told me or maybe they dont even know yet!! but...I want to show i'm proactive and thinking about this alot also?? any thoughts??

Does anyone know when Ropes notifies people of AC invites?
The deadline is Jan 31 and they’re non-rolling so they’ll probs take a few weeks to review all of the apps before sending AC invites out. AC dates are on their website (see below). The first one is early March so invites might be sent by at least the end of Feb maybe?
