    Where to do GDL

    Firms don’t really care where you do the GDL it’s more about your grades, skills, and experiences outside the classroom. Go with the place that works best for you personally, you’ll perform better there.

    Yeah, those grades are solid especially with the Access to HE route. Most firms care more about your uni performance and overall story than the exact route you took. If you back it up with a good degree result and show what you’ve overcome, you’ll still be competitive.

    Law grabbed me because I like untangling tricky problems and figuring out how rules actually play out in real life. With commercial law, it feels even bigger you’re right in the middle of how business, people and ideas move. That mix of challenge and impact is what pulls me in.

    VC / TC applications with SQE completed

    My advice: start looking at smaller or mid-sized commercial firms they’re usually way more flexible about SQE timing. Big firms can be picky with their training schemes, but plenty still take trainees regardless of when you finish the SQE.

    Wow, respect dat je dit allemaal hebt gerockt! Voor je CV zou ik nu vooral relevante stages, vrijwilligerswerk of korte juridische cursussen pakken om te laten zien dat je echt in de praktijk bezig bent laat zien dat je motivatie en skills sterker zijn dan de concurrentie.
