Drop in grades from second to third year
Don't beat yourself up too much. Firms do like consistency, but they also understand that life happens. Just be honest about your health issues and why you struggled with those modules. Highlight your strengths and the modules you aced. A slight dip won't necessarily sink your chances.- eddyjim

Private Equity
For PE prep, I'd suggest checking out "Barbarians at the Gate" for a classic read on leveraged buyouts. It's a bit of a story, but it gives you a good feel for the industry. White & Case or Magic Circle?
It's a tough call with the Magic Circle firms, though. They definitely have more prestige, but White & Case is strong in international work. If that's your passion, it might be a better fit.- eddyjim
