I used a similar (ish) example in my vac scheme app for Dentons, about challenges around mentoring secondary school law applicants when I was nervous myself and I was successful in getting the vac scheme if that helps!
Sorry if this has been asked before, but does anyone know the Clyde & Co conversion rate? Just got a vac scheme offer and obviously very grateful, but I know quite of few people who have done a VS with them and none of them got the TC offer, so I'm curious to see just how low it is!
Thanks very much Jaysen and @Jessica Booker - it was totally my own fault for not acknowledging how much zoom university/apps and interviews really had taken it out of me and I'll definitely learn from this! But I agree, it's definitely best not to waste their time.
Is it terrible form to cancel an assessment centre I have tomorrow at this late stage? I already have a vac scheme that clashes with it, I was just going to do the AC as practice and in the off chance that the vac schemes were cancelled/shortened because of COVID. But I just feel so unprepared...
I did it on a laptop, I didn't realise you could do it on a smartphone! A lot of it involved how fast you could click your mouse etc so I'm not sure how it'd work on a smartphone, but I'd go with what you feel more comfortable with.
Hey I did it last year and you can't really prep for it to be honest. However, if I'm right the psychometric test isn't a stand alone hurdle that you need to pass, I'm pretty sure I did terribly and I still got an AC so I wouldn't worry about it too much.
Anyone know if Clydes have made their vac scheme dates available? I have an AC with them so would ideally like to know if it clashes with the vac scheme I already have before doing it.
Does anyone have any advice for keeping up with case law when you aren't an LLB student anymore? I've been asked to prepare a presentation on a case from the past year for an assessment centre and I don't even know where to start. I've spent so much time trying to keep up with the business news...
Thank you! I applied to Glasgow and applied on the deadline, so I count myself very lucky - not sure how their recruitment works but I think I might have done pretty well on the WG and that's why I was progressed so quickly? But that's just my theory haha
