    Advice for LLM Personal Statements

Hi Ibs, Regarding this point, I don't think it matters. When I applied (2020 LLM), I attached my PS via a Microsoft word document as I found this easier to add everything I wanted to say. UCL ask for a 'size 12 font and no longer than two sides of A4' - I tried to utilise both pages, but I...

    LLM - Personal Statement

Was that from an LLB? If so, that's interesting. I'm sure LSE state that a strong 2:1 is acceptable, unless they've changed requirements since I applied in Feb. UCL I would take with a pinch of salt being a 'high 2:1' from personal experience, same with Kings. May have been different this year...

    LLM - Personal Statement

Hi, in short - yes there are. I'm not entirely sure what the stance is around Oxbridge or if there is leeway from a first, - but I know LSE, UCL, Durham, to name a few and (I think) all other very thorough established UK university have their requirements set a 2.1 at undergraduate. The...

    Your thoughts required (again!)

Hi all, As somebody that is not a TC holder, I see the following ideas proposed as a fantastic idea. With education being expensive and especially with uncertainty around jobs in the current market, free trials of premium/applications reviews and mock interviews will be both incredibly helpful...

    Linklaters 2019/20 Application

Hi Jenna, I have applied for a direct TC and mine is 'on hold' - however I'm certain their deadline was recent for this (please correct me if I am wrong). Have you seen an amendment in it already?

    Ask A Graduate Recruiter Anything!

Hi Jessica, I have been invited to an open day with a MC firm that are recruiting on a rolling basis. I am currently in the process of applying for a TC with them, however, would like to hold back until I have had attended the event. My worry is that as they recruit rolling and the event is...

Hearing Back from Law Firms, Assessment Centres & Interview Tips - 2019 - 2020

Did Pinsent Masons recruit on a rolling basis this year for their TC? - I can't seem to find much information regarding it and i know on TCLA relevant page it says they 'may not' - not sure if you have any knowledge of this - but if you do that'd be great, cheers! (Also, good luck with the test!)

Which firms should I apply to for a vac scheme?

Hi Jessica, thank you for all the advice given so far, it's been great. I'm in a similar position here, however applying for TC's and now winter vacation schemes. Although I received a 2:1 in my first year and on track to graduate with a 2:1, I have been somewhat put off applying for some...
