I have spent 25 years working with law firms big and small, helping lawyers and their firms align what they ACTUALLY do with what they SAID they would do. I do this through training, coaching, facilitating and consulting. I focus on "core people skills" such as leadership, management, influencing, presenting and communication skills. I also teach and coach business development skills, something that is generally overlooked in lawyer training. I'm also a Visiting Professor (2 days a week) at the University of Law, where I teach PSC courses, project manage new courses (for example we just ran a "Legal Operations for Graduates" programme, and help prepare ULaw for the SQE world. I have discovered that the world of "New Law" requires lawyers who do things differently, and I'm in the vanguard of those who want to teach the skills early in a lawyer's career.
