I also interpreted it exactly the same as you both, now I'm just baffled by the question even more than I was at the time!! Good luck for your remaining apps, onwards and upwards for us both I guess :)
Ahhh I'm so sorry to hear, no denying it is gutting. Think its time to take a short break from anything app related to mull it over, then back to it! As you say, we've got this and better things are coming :)
Rejection from Bird & Bird post-VI, this is gonna be my 'the one' rejection that people refer to everyone getting so gonna hurt.. but guess onto bigger and better!
On plus note, at least they're finally getting back to people - good luck everyone :)
*Completed VI mid-nov and was for spring vac*
They more than likely don't hand out all AC offers at the same time. They probably do it in batches and hence why theres only a few dates to choose from. As cliche as it sounds, for now, no news is good news so try stay as positive as possible!
Rejection is super tough and the most difficult thing about this process. When I'm feeling down, I just remind myself, I don't need 12 jobs, I just need the one and that comes from one yes! And that one yes is likely to be the firm completely right for me, even if it isn't part of the 'dream...
If there's a separate question on the application which essentially is 'why the firm?' would it be ok to put much less emphasis on this part in the cover letter? Obviously I would still make links where appropriate but perhaps not talk about it in as much detail. Thanks in advance!

I really doubt adding extra work experience will jeopardise your application. It's not like you've made a deliberate mistake/lied on your app. I'd personally leave it, I'm sure many have done the same especially as the format of the application wasn't clear at all!
As someone has already said, it's definitely worth contacting your uni (even if you're a graduate) as their careers service should have a variety of practice tests including WG, SJT etc.
congrats! You get a minute to think of your answer and two minutes to answer. The types of questions are very run of the mill stuff, however, it's likely the questions differ from person to person so my advice would be make sure you draw on their key competencies where you can! :)
So, I've seen people questioning whether it means just add three or can add more as it does give the option to add more. I personally just put three, so maybe put your three strongest?
I personally think, for example, Covid has undeniably had a huge impact on business & the legal sector, and for that reason will be spoken about a lot. However, if you look at how it has affected a specific sector that the firm deals with & a sector you find interesting then that's not...
One of the questions in an app I'm currently doing is 'How would you advise a friend who wants to set up a business?' Would an appropriate structure/answer be to consider which structure best fits the needs of the business e.g. Partnership, LLP and which funding arrangements could be used? Or...
