    It was a lengthy written exercise wasn't it! I think this rejection was one of the toughest ones to accept for me - just got to wait for the email now. Good luck with the rest of your apps!

    Out of interest, why do some firms send out successful/ unsuccessful correspondence in one batch and then take longer ie a day or more to send out the opposite outcome to the other candidates? I also want to add that smaller firms can sometimes have really specific requirements eg type of person, specific experience, recruit a very small amount of trainees, have a higher threshold for legal experience (possibly as they may have lower budget for training) etc and I actually...
