We are always more than any work, any of the roles that we choose, and any of our qualities, emotions and feelings.

You can not entirely identify with work or profession. Even the most beloved and most valuable. It is important, but always - it is only one of the parts of our big identity

I observed recently, like a beautiful man who changes now the right direction in the implementation, asked: "And who are you?", - What he answered: "Now - no one ...". I started yelling on him: "How no one?! What does it mean - no one?! I know, unfortunately, such a number of people with gold embossed on business cards - but without business cards, they often really are in. And you - like Ginn, who has long ceased to be placed in his lamp, and now you are free Jean. "

Identifiable with something alone, we lose access to more
I just recently spoke with friends that if a person is fully identified with the work, if, literally, it became one of the whole with it - everything that happens there, it becomes excessively critical. And the view of the staff becomes another: they cease to see in you a person, seeing only your role or work. And sometimes resisting her ... You yourself cease to see what is happening objectively.

And we are always more than any work or profession, and for us can always be more - projects, works and implementations - how we may seem to. Identified with something one, we lose access to more. And this is not at all connected with the devotion of work or the case.

Last year, at the interview I was asked: Would I be able to communicate not from the identity of a psychologist? I then frightened - and if I have something except for this identity? And what, indeed, will remain if I am outside this one - the role for me is. It was my important study of the year.
