62% is an excellent grade for Contract Law. Law firms more often look beyond the grades when assessing candidates. At the end of the day, an exam is a memory test under pressurised circumstances. It doesn't define you as a person.
I certainly do agree that having a discussion around D&I is important. The topic can come up in law firm assessments such as group exercises as I have experienced this in the past.
I cannot remember exactly because the scheme took place some time ago. I did however follow up with the first supervisor to share my feedback and talk about how I could improve, and they were surprised by some of the comments.
I definitely agree with your statement. Which now goes back to my question - surely it is better to fabricate a scenario to answer a competency question where you have never been in such a situation so as to avoid being marked down for not being able to come up with a genuine example?

Although I do not always think that having good answers for motivational and competency questions is correlated to actual performance in the job.
With law firms having a variety of online testing as part of an application, how common is it for law firm employees to complete these tests before being assigned to applicants?
I can only imagine that applicants would get better scores than some associates and partners working at the law firm...
I can sympathise with your situation. I've attended final round interviews for law-related roles and have been ghosted in the past. Even a polite follow-up receives no response. Unfortunately, there is nothing you can really do.
