Being a commercial lawyer and interest (riba)

Whilst I would like to pursue my goal to become a commercial lawyer, I am keen to avoid any dealing with interest (riba), as this is prohibited in my religion. I am aware this perhaps considerably limits my potential area of specialism, but I'm thinking perhaps areas such as employment, supply chain or public policy would be suitable? Any comments?

If you are interested in these areas, then by all means, you should go for it. You may also have an option to specialise in Islamic Finance which is a growing practice area in London, if finance is an area of interest.

There are many Muslim solicitors, trainees, and future trainees who talk about their difficulties with this issue on LinkedIn, so I recommend reaching out to someone there. many large international law firms have offices in UAE and islamic finance divisions. islamic finance itself is a growing field even in non-muslim countries and more specalists are needed - it would not limit your potential at all! yes, i second speaking to more people about this.
