    Hi all :)

I've been looking at the application form for Bird & Bird and I am genuinely at a road block as to the various things that I could discuss for the first two questions. I'd be grateful for anyone to help out with some ideas!

    1) Based on your research, what do you understand to be the biggest opportunity for one of the sectors in which we specialise?

    2) In your view, what will be the greatest innovation to influence the firm in the next 5 years and why?

One of my problems is trying to limit myself in repeating myself with tech innovation.

Looking forward to reading the replies! :D:D

    Hi Yusuf,

For the first question, my advice would be to start with a sector you find interesting and try to spend some time researching the trends within that sector. There's not necessarily a right answer to this question (there are so many things you could choose), but I would try to argue your case - why you think the opportunity you have identified is the biggest for the sector.

Thank you Jaysen, that is very helpful!

I think in researching a particular sector (for question 1), it could also be interesting to have a look at what Bird & Bird lawyers themselves have written about it. They do write quite a lot of articles on different topics (you can easily find links to all those on their linkedin etc.) and that could help you ensure that your answer does cater to an industry/sector/trend that directly concerns the firm/its clients. :)
