Bad credit/SRA character/TC

It seems highly unlikely this would need to be disclosed in the suitability test as you paid off the debt with no legal processes started to reclaim the debt from you.

Thousands of lawyers will have missed a payment to their credit card who have been able to be admitted to the roll.

These are the aspects around financial conduct/events the SRA considers, so unless you missed 6 or more consecutive payments I don't think this is going to be an issue.

Thank you Jessica!

Unfortunately, it was exactly six payments - so I think I will have to see what my firm says.

You should gather as much evidence as you can as it is likely you will need to go through an early suitability assessment with the SRA.

You will need to provide evidence of your ability to manage your finances since the incident and line up some personal references from people who can explain they think this is an anomaly.
