Because I talked to them, it is 25 across two years, they take 50% from each and from my AC (last year) [there was 9 people] and they took 6. This is directly from Pippa, part of the Early Careers. (also about 1600 applications if anyone really wants the numbers)How did you know that? Legal cheek says they'll accept 25 candidates for training contract in London each year.
Omg so we’re competing for around 9 spots now? 🥲Because I talked to them, it is 25 across two years, they take 50% from each and from my AC (last year) [there was 9 people] and they took 6. yea hence me giving up hopeOmg so we’re competing for around 9 spots now? 🥲
Rest well before the test, stay focus, and do not get distracted during the test.Well I got an invite for SHL 'General Ability' test.
It says "pen and paper & calculator required". However I'd probably use Excel & Windows Notepad.
Anyone know the rules here!?
Probably even less than because they gave 7 tc offers for their vac scheme this summerOmg so we’re competing for around 9 spots now? 🥲
I wonder how many people get the amberjack invites? Because if it’s hundreds then wow, it’s brutal 🥲Probably even less than because they gave 7 tc offers for their vac scheme this summer

SHL has time limit, so it'd be way more difficult than Amberjack even W&G.
Yet, it's not tricky as Pymetrics and Plum. It's used by large corporates such as Amazon and Bain & Co.
Reminder:
• DO NOT click the Video Interview link if you aren't well prepared
• DO NOT leave/refresh the page if you are about to start the interview
i wonder when they will get us that dreaded outcome because imho it is way past the due date if the AC is next week
Dependent on the company, but I applied for non law firms that use SHL, so the recruitment cycles might be different. I had vi, sjt, and reasoning test in one sitting. I only applied SH for a lawfirm as i'm international and my hollistic profile matters.no mention of a VI, but maybe there is!??!?
lol my guess is probably 30-80s, i applied role that had 11,541 applicants and invited only 2% to VI.I wonder how many people get the amberjack invites? Because if it’s hundreds then wow, it’s brutal 🥲
Was that today?Hi everyone, just created an account to relieve some people of the stress. SH have sent out AC invites. Peace ✌️
Thanks for letting us know, wonder when were getting the pfos thenHi everyone, just created an account to relieve some people of the stress. SH have sent out AC invites. Peace ✌️

Having received and accepted a TC offer, I wanted to thank everyone on the forum for all of your advice, support and guidance. To those waiting to hear back or are planning their next application cycle, please do not give up and good luck - I wish you all success!
I'm planning to sit the SQE this upcoming September and I was wondering if anyone has any guidance on the structure of the course - i.e., I know this is firm dependent but would it be possible to paralegal and complete the SQE on a full-time basis? @Ram Sabaratnam do you have any advice on this?
The firm are sponsoring and their SQE course is Ulaw - they prefer full time in person and my aim is to sit SQE1 in Jan. I don't have a paralegal job right now but I've heard people working full time and studying for the SQE together.Questions:
1. is the firm paying a bursary?
2. what's their SQE course - some use Ulaw at specific locations, others CLP online.
3. SQE1 in January?
4. Do you have a paralegal job now? If you're sitting SQE1 in January then it seems like you wouldn't have time to find paralegal work, start and also study for SQE
