Hi all,

I am starting the SQE LLM in Feb 2026 at BPP on the CCP, and am beginning to work out what I need to do to prep (not starting prep yet obviously!!). If anyone has any experience, recommendations, or criticisms of the various textbook providers, please could you tell me below. I would like to purchase a set of textbooks, as I have heard the BPP ones aren't hugely strong. Thanks!

Hi! I’ve just started the SQE at BPP this month, so thought I’d share what I’ve found useful so far. The Revise SQE guides have been excellent for getting to grips with the underlying law – they explain things clearly without being overwhelming, and I find them a good complement to the BPP materials.

I’ve also been using Devil’s Advocate, which I’d definitely recommend if you like concise notes and flashcards. Their materials are really useful for quick recap and drilling key points, and the harder MCQs have been great practice for getting exam-ready.

Between the two, I think they balance each other out: Revise SQE is good for depth and understanding, while Devil’s Advocate is better for testing yourself and retaining information.

Great, I will explore these both. Thanks very much and good luck with your course and exams!
