I went to their insight day on Wednesday. They said the first stage is a short application form to capture grades and eligibility information. The form has a section for any mitigating circumstances too. After this, they send out an SJT + VI (combined).

They assess the application, SJT score and VI together to select who to invite to the AC. Those who do well on the AC will receive a VS offer (both taking place in the Spring so no Summer VS this year). There are 12-15 places per scheme.​

Hey, has anyone got through the second stage of the online assessment for Freshfields? What questions do I need to expect for the HireVue? Are there any commerical awareness questions?

Is it at all worth applying to firms like linklaters if you do have a 2.1 overall in first year but some modules at 2.2 (because of mitigating circumstances). Like being realistic do you have a chance.

I believe that was the job simulation test. Someone on the group explained in detail what the job sim is like with respect to Latham, it's the same format.

Hey, there is no VI questions (however I applied to the summer VS so I presume the cappfinnity test is the same?)

Is linklaters academic requirements as strict as HSF kramer? Strict as in 2:1 in all module. I have a 2:1 overall, but have 2 2:2 modules, and probably without mitigating circumstances 😬

Try not to stress about it I'm sure there is still time for you to get it - right at the beginning of the application window it was taking a little over a week so it would make sense for it to take a longer now since I'm sure there is some application backlog!
