Hey! How do you answer this question when asked why you chose this US law firm as opposed to another one? Do you answer by focusing on the strength of the firm or on the weakness of the others? Are we supposed to mention the other firms by name? Thank you so much

Depends on which firms you are comparing. It doesn't necessary need to be a strength of the firm, it could be an opportunity one firm can provide over another, or why you think you would enjoy working there more than the other firm.

Up to you whether you want to name firms or not. It isn't really the point of the question.
