anyone else not receive the w&c captivate assessment. i’ve now received an email from their HR team saying that they can’t continue with my application as i haven’t done the online test…but i was never sent any online test?

was this something you had to do in portal without them letting you know?

i believe they gave the online test as part of the confirmation email iirc

they're running AC's all month, aiming to communicate outcomes by mid-march. if you haven't heard back, might be worth emailing although i had about a weeks notice for my AC so possible they'll reach out to you soon

so it might be possible to still get an AC invite? I haven't heard back since completing SJT end of Dec

:hi @Abbie Whitlock , i have a q for an open day which is; Please reflect on any experiences - academic, professional, or extracurricular - that have shaped your career aspirations and explain how this event will support your development. - 1500 characters - kind of confused me ngl, would you be able to recommend an approach?

Hey!

The approach that I would take for this question is:

• Pick a few experiences from your academic / work / extracurricular background which genuinely motivated you to pursue a career in commercial law. Try to avoid picking too many, as depth is likely more important than breadth.
• Reflect on these experiences, rather than just describing them. Discuss what insights you gained and the aspects that you enjoyed in particular.
• Draw them together to show how, collectively, they shaped your interest in commercial law as a career path.
• Finish by explaining how the open day will build on both experiences and how this specific event will help your overall development (e.g. offering further insights into a practice area, or learning more about a specific firm).

A focused and reflective answer will appear much stronger than one that tries to discuss as many experiences as possible - I'd try to be very deliberate with the experiences you choose, and focus on the reflection element! I hope that assists
