HL summer VS post Job Sim PFO; completed job sim beginning of November. Good luck to anyone still waiting
You don't have to have done a VS to apply for a DTC. A lot of firms recognise that not everyone is able to complete a VS hence why they have the DTC route. You don't even need legal work experience to secure a DTC. DTCs can be more competitive though, as many firms often fill their training contracts with candidates from VS first. Can you apply to DTCs without having done a vac scheme before? I feel like it’s expected that you have if you apply to DTC but maybe that’s just in my head lol
which office?Any ACs from Simmons for Summer vac? Haven't heard since VI, wondering if I should assume a rejection..
depends on the firm but i think 9 times out of 10 a call is good news!!! this exact situation happened to me and i ended up getting the vac scheme - best of luckguys guys do firms call to give you good news or reject you with feedback post-AC? i received a missed call from grad rec earlier today and the voicemail said to email them, i emailed but still no call back. shall i try calling back tomorrow morning?

they emailed me telling me they tried to call and it didn’t go through and asked whether i would be free to call ‘later this evening or tomorrow’ (it was like 6pm at this point). i emailed back immediately saying i can call now and they took an hour to respond back - felt like a lifetime of waiting hahah. if i were you i would email them back telling them the times you’re free to call tomorrow and wait by the phone until they dothe wait is killing me lol i dunno if i'll even be able to sleep tonight ahh. @qwerty! did you call them back the next day? thank you both for the reassurance!
