should you only follow up with a firm once? was put on hold in november > then followed up in mid-january and asked to wait > is following up now a month later too nudgy? i think it is - need a second opinion please!

From experience I wouldn’t follow up at all I dont want to annoy grad rec XD

Apologies if this is going to sound like a really dumb question, but has anyone else just... not heard from Cleary after submitting? I got the contextual info submission (so I know my application was submitted), but haven't heard anything otherwise. I did submit very close to the deadline though, so I don't know if it's because of that or if my chances at even getting to the WG are negligible at this point?

I didn’t hear either and I submitted on the deadline. So I am assuming they’re still processing. I wouldn’t automatically assume the worst.

Yeah they have a DTC route as well. They increased their trainee intake to 15 for Sept 28, but I think they’re probs wanting to fill spaces for Sept 26 and 27, so are probs making a few DTC offers. I know of around 5 or 6 people who’ve gotten offers via the DTC route for Gibson Dunn this cycle.​

I had no idea they had a DTC route was this open to everyone?

I can't lie if this is a follow-up post app (before AC or VS) then I would not bother. If this is a situation where you might be on a list then you could. In my mind, the firm will decide what they are going to decide so I don't bother messaging them

I would say there’s generally no need to. It’s very hard in the digital age for a law firm to lose someone’s application. They’ll get back to you when they’re ready.
