hii, as someone who is also on a student visa and has a similar issue, you've got to make sure you apply for schemes that only take place outside of your term time: aka all summer schemes and some spring schemes, as law firms often position schemes outside of term time so all students are able to attend. id advise against doing it during term time as it could lead to serious issues in terms of visa. best of luck!!@Abbie Whitlock @Jaysen @vera.mekhonoshina hi, just wondering if anyone has been able to attend Vacation Schemes during term time, while being on a student visa. i am a masters student and my student visa restricts my working hours to 20 hours per week during term time. i would be really grateful if someone could share their experience and help me out with what i can do further.
they say they will get back next weekAnyone hear anything from Debevoise?
Congrats!! Can I ask if this was for London or Bristol/Reading? ThanksOsborne Clarke vacation scheme offer!!![]()
No - just off the back of the application (back in November…)So sorry to hear, is this post AC?
@TheSaulGoodman Hi! I sent speculative applications (cover letter and CV) to law firms when they do not advertise work experience placements and sent formal applications when they require so. As for mini-pupillage applications, I submitted formal applications to Chambers as per their requirements. I hope that helps! Also wondering this! Out of curiosity how did you get your criminal experience? I've been sending out emails/linkedin messages but haven't had any luck![]()
