Hi all,

I’ve recently been invited to a White & Case AC and was wondering if anyone could provide me with any guidance on what they ask, what the written exercise entails etc.

Any tips would be greatly appreciated!

Many thanks!!

The written exercise is just a bundle of documents about a specific topic. It's really just asking you to answer whatever question(s) they may set and summarise the key information. It's usually done in the format of an internal memo or a client memo.

The associate + graduate recruitment interview just goes through motivations, some competencies and reflects on your CV. Nothing too challenging. You may be asked about White & Case specifically in relation to their global network.

Hi everyone,

Just to add on to what Romiras said -

Re written exercise - they'll give you a link to access a platform where the task will be explained to you. You can only open the documents up in pop-up windows, you will not be able to download the documents (so it was abit difficult to jump back and forth between documents). You will then have to provide your response in a textbox on this same platform. (not sure if they have changed it as some of the vacschemers provided feedback on this issue)

What they are looking out for during the exercise is - as Romiras mentioned - whether you are able to summarise and pick out the important points from a bunch of documents. Also, it is important to use headings for structure!

Re the interview - the interview is CV blind, so it is really up to you to demonstrate how you are a good candidate!

Hope this helps and all the best to everyone who has ACs lined up with the firm :)
