I am in the middle of choosing between BPP and ULaw and was wondering about City law firms' preferences between those two (and maybe also the courses they would be requiring).

Could anyone let me know which firms choose which LPC provider?

I would like to know about as many firms as possible which specialise in Private Equity, M&A and Corporate/Commercial Law in general.

The only reason law firms have a preference is because they have an agreed contract in place with the provider to put trainees who haven’t self-funded through a particular course.

If you are choosing to self-fund, then it really doesn’t matter what your potential future law firm would choose. It won’t be detrimental to your application if you chose another provider.

I would focus on the factors that are probably much more important to you personally - course structure, module options, location, costs, course length, support (both academic and student support services), assessment method etc.
