Do people on here think its the same situation for Ropes too? I've only seen two AC invites on here (when they invite 70 to AC). Would have thought more people would post if all offers made.
Maybe a question for @Jessica Booker, but let’s say you’re waiting to hear back from a law firm, and you know they’ve both sent out a substantial number of rejections but also interviews/ACs, is it worth emailing them at all to simply express that you’re still really keen and interested in the...
Possibly. I think there’s too many waiting to hear back to be reserve (same for R&G) but maybe that’s just me hoping. I’m hoping more interview offers (and maybe PFOs too) are due to come out.
I went to an AC where someone had flown from Israel to attend that morning, so they had lots of luggage with them.
I don’t know whether they were given an offer but they did seem tired in the group exercise.
In the same position. This is very likely to be a PFO I’m afraid. :(
They’ve already completed their first stage interviews, ACs and made offers for the Spring Vac Scheme as far as I’m aware.
I have one next week so interviews are still ongoing. I got the invite a couple weeks ago and I booked one of the last slots available to me. I'd say its unlikely if you haven't heard yet, but they do send out PFOs so its worth keeping your fingers crossed!
They review the applications as they come in (and rolling reject them) but don’t make any offers about ACs etc. before the deadline.
That’s at least what they said at the Open Day.
Well that’s a relief! Just got an email from Cooley about the AC. Sounds like they don’t tell people to leave at lunch anymore.
You’re guaranteed to get an interview, which is incredibly reassuring. Not that you don’t need to be on your best game for the morning!
@Ram Sabaratnam
So for everyone, like me, still waiting for R&G, it seems they send out a lot of rejections and then wait a week before sending out more rejections/AC invites, looking at last year. Thinking maybe our apps are potentially reviewed a second time? So could be a while until hearing back.
A possible alternative to getting a training contract might be a job application to graduate recruitment at Willkie. They must be thinking of employing a team to help Gemma surely!
