Yes - it sometimes happens but there is no guarantee of it happening. It can depend on a whole range of variable factors, none of which are really in your control. There is no harm in asking though, as the worst that happens is the firm says no and you just start in your original intake group...
I would speak to the firm to see if they have any recommendations.
You can sometimes book halls of residence (although this is more likely in the summer) or find private halls/professional co-living spaces that are happy to take people on for short periods if they have availability.
I know...
That’s a lot of different things to include and they are great evidence for this question. Break down the skills you feel you have developed from these experiences that are transferable to a career in law and then evidence that with specifics of your responsbilities or achievements within each...
I would include both sets of results in applications. Most firms will need to see your first sitting results, but it will be important to show your subsequent grades given how strong they are.
Your circumstances will make a difference. You should look for firms that use contextualised recruitment platforms as your circumstances would effectively balance out your A-level grades through that system.
It’s hard to say it’s “likely” but that is the same for most applicants. But there is...
I don’t know specifics unfortunately. I would generally say that being fast tracked is something quite rare unless there has been a formal recruitment process for the open day.
Someone earlier mentioned they were told they could not complete an assessment because they had not completed the form. I don’t understand why this would be the case. The systems are generally not connected and even if they are, should not be.
Not completing the form is a choice - it won’t...
It shouldn't impact your application - I am unclear as to why it would also stop someone from completing an assessment too. I suspect that is a fault in the system.
If the firm is making you complete this form they should 1) be telling you at the point of application that not completing it will...
They could be piloting the assessment to see if it creates any correlation to other assessments and therefore see if it is a predictive tool to use in future cycles.
I completely agree with this.
When asking a question, there shouldn't be this long preamble to explain why you are asking the question. People don't need to hear about your internship where you worked with some amazing piece of technology and how you now have amazing AI skills just to hear you...
Congratulations on securing two open days - that is a great start to this recruitment cycle.
It is likely you have already done some research for your open day applications. You may want to revisit any notes you have about the firms and remind yourself of why you are interested in each firm...
Its not unethical. If they said 5 working days, then it should have still been live today.
You clicked on the link but it wasn't accessible, so this is a technical issue that the firm should be able to resolve.
1) You can reference future open days - you don't need to say when they will take place though.
2) It really doesn't matter, it won't reflect poorly. Just make sure the room is appropriately lit and is not too dark.
