Hi, Yes, you can jump straight in. I did not have a date in my cover letter but did have my own address on the right hand side of the letterhead. I applied to Slaughter and May with my cover letter back in 2023 and managed to get to their AC for the direct TC. Best of luck with your application!- aminajimale89
