mixed, 'excelled' in verbal reasoning, but i've yet to see anyone not get that so.
then I did well in two sections, and less well in two (got a 3/9 bars in one). so i'm unsure. if it's a cumulative thing, I might be okay, but I'm guessing they have a minimum for each section maybe? if that's...
y'all I'm starting to see why they want resilience from their trainees, this stuff is brutal 😭
this is my first time applying, I'm second year non-law so I really didn't make that many applications anyway. Went into the cycle hoping for a vac scheme but mostly treating it as a test run, and omg...
anyone know what kinda scores are needed for bakers online test?
got high verbal reasoning 9/9 and 7/9 on two sections but only got 4/9 and 3/9 on the other two.
well definitely just failed my first exam in 3 years of uni today, so I look forward to finding some way to explain that on future applications 😀 do people have any advice for explaining resits, where you didn't really have any mitigating circumstances, you were just ill, but not ill enough to...
wait, I've just checked the application process page and I swear that wasn't there before, or am I just blind? 💀
I though Freshfields was just personal statement -> watson glaser -> assessment centre?
edit: nvm I've just realised this is just for direct training contract
have completed the NRF arctic shores and I am more perplexed than anything else.
I am anti-psychometric test in general, but at least with other tests I can kinda see where they're coming from. E.g watson glaser is objectively testing skills for a lawyer, SJT tests are testing how you respond...
Last question from me i promise guys 😭 you're all so helpful
I'm still filling in the freshfields app. It only seems to be possible to add one degree. I changed my course after a few months of first year, so I usually Add it as a second degree, and put details in mitigating circumstances...
quick q, does anyone know how many offices/in how many countries freshfields has? I've briefly mentioned it as 33 because that's what legal cheek says, but now i've seen 28 reported on a different website, and i checked FF website, and counted their offices and got 30, but that included...
For freshfields should we be using the whole 850 word count for the cover letter? That's going on two A4 pages, but also there's no other application questions so.
may be different for TC, but I applied for Diversity access scheme end of day 17th December, and received the test midday 18th December. I don't know if it's automatic or not though, because that's very quick turnaround if not.
My email said "10 calendar days from tomorrow", and I did it at like 11pm, so you have until midnight too. So if you got the test today, due midnight of the 13th.
Hogan Lovells WG invite!
Does anyone know if this is automatic or not? I don't meet their a-level requirements, so I'm hoping this means they're taking my mitigating circumstances into account and progressing me anyway.
on that note, has anyone heard anything from Slaughters for a while? I applied on the deadline, so I'm not holding my breath for an interview, but also haven't been rejected yet so.
who else despises video interviews 🥲
just completed one, had unlimited time to prepare, and genuinely had (I think) great answers to all of them, but as soon as I'm recording i stutter, and lose my train of thought.
it's so annoying because i'd literally be fine if it wasn't recorded. i'm so...
for a question like this "Describe your proudest achievement and what challenges you have had to overcome?" is it okay to discuss a period of time more than a literal achievement? I've really not 'achieved' anything as such. other than the typical getting into uni, getting this job or that job...
