I would always advise against this, but you are making sense. Spend 2 weeks on an app, just to fail test or for it to be overlooked because of something small or your academic history. The game is the game. Personally, I will continue tailoring my apps and take my time cause that's what I know...
That's good for your friend. If FF is doing what some other firms do, which is prioritise vac scheme apps for review before DTC, then us DTC applicants should be fine. If not then thats worrying since I did stage 2 nearly 3 weeks ago:(
Hi @Kirsty Wilkins, I have attended close to 10 virtual events that Gemma hosted. I recently started a new job and had a few things in my schedule so I haven't submitted my application yet. I want to submit by next week and I was wondering if it is a bit late to submit my application now?
Looking at this, it seems that you are good with cappfinity, general SJT and WG. You may benefit from doing less applications so you can do more research and tailor your answers. On average, 19 apps in 2 months means you spent less than 3 days (or more if you started applying in August). That's...
Thank you very much. I did the test yesterday and my scores were 8,8,4. I wanted to check if there was a benchmark you need to reach before they view your video interview responses. I think 2 of mine were really strong, and the other 2 started off well but I waffled for the last 30 seconds and...
Finished my Simons test earlier today. Am I cooked for having average verbal, strong numerical then 8,8,4. Anyone gotten through with similar scores or 20 when you add it up? I waffled on 2 of my video interview questions, and 2 were strong.
Last year I progressed to online test with Reed Smith. My grades are terrible so I would say focus on tailoring your application more. I remember speaking about a topic that wasn't very academic but was true to my story of why I wanted a career in law. No fancy writing, just a simple walk...
Does anyone have any general tips for VIs? I seem to get rejected at this stage. @Abbie Whitlock or anyone else, any thoughts? any help will be much appreciated.
My email was at 5:44pm. She said they also look at things on a case by case basis so it's not an automatic no if you have a couple 2.2s or less. Personally I have a third in my grades and I have progressed to 2nd and 3rd stages at multiple firms so it's not the end for me at least.
HSFK rejection after passing the benchmark. I spoke to early careers at an even yesterday and they said they were applying a strict rule of 2.1 on all modules. However, they would allow a handful 2.2s with mitigating circumstances so I was expecting PFO.
Usually you can look at preparation hubs from multiple firms. Freshfields has a good one. You can also look at jobtestprep and assessment day for their free or paid questions. Watch videos online to help with video interviews, eg, Idin from LittleLaw who has a video on VI's. Another big tip is...
