It’s a voluntary code - so no one is obligated to keep to it unfortunately. It seems these days fewer firms are following it too given the deadlines I have heard many firms giving this summer.
But if a firm doesn’t stick to it, then you don’t have to as a candidate either. You can just accept...
There can still be differences in the training but it’s likely the core of the training will be the same across the consortium. However, with the LPC there was a “consortium” of firms whose training was with either UoLaw or BPP but there were still slight differences (like module choices). But...
It’s polite to call the Graduate Recruitment team to explain your decision. They will typically ask you to follow up with an email so they have your decline in writing.
1) not opposed to it - they will understand your reasoning for it, they may just say trust you have to finance the LLM part. They may say they can’t support it though, dependent on your start date and whether you would have finished the LLM in time to start a TC. There is nothing to lose by...
Depends on the firm. Ratios of assessments to candidates will be about the same at each stage from interview onwards, but it just depends on whether the firm recruits more heavily from vacation schemes or not. Some do, some don’t.
The firm will need advice/guidance from you as to what adjustments you will require. It isn’t up to them to determine them, just to determine whether they can implement them where they are deemed reasonable (or not).

They will be considered separate qualifications.
You won’t be considered a penultimate student, even if you are going on to do a LLM. But you should speak to firms directly to see whether they would consider you an exception and allow you to apply. However, given most LLMs are not confirmed...
If you have an address in the UK, just use that. September is only a matter of weeks away, so you’re likely to be back in the UK by the time you got an invite to interview anyway. And if not, lots of people will be out of the UK or unable to travel for in person interviews anyway, so I don’t...
In the vast majority of cases, honestly, based on the feedback you were given by the firm. But you should focus on what you have done to either develop on that feedback (if appropriate) or focus on why the firm you are applying to wouldn’t apply so much to that feedback (eg motivation etc).
We do have an application database for our paid subscribers that would show previous years questions.
I don’t think there would be anywhere else that would hold this information, but you could start a thread asking others to provide their previous app questions or you could email the firm...
Its polite to call graduate recruitment and say you will be declining the offer, and then follow up with an email as they will need something in writing. Everything should go through Grad Rec as they will then coordinate telling other people within the firm alongside the decisions of other...
Might not be until mid September. Most firms will not confirm until they have reviewed/updates their marketing materials/website etc. That doesn’t tend to happen until after vacation schemes are finished.
You could prep last year’s applications but you just take a risk of wasting your time. I...
