Some more bad news today. Feeling quite dejected. Kirkland & Ellis PFO post application. It is quite difficult to keep feeling motivated at this stage when I am getting no feedback. I am wondering - is it my grades, was my application bad, was there anything that I could have done differently...
For me, I don't really care about work-life balance when reviewing firms. I don't think I would ever say this to a firm, but viewing this pragmatically, I have always enjoyed working a lot especially on complex things. I don't really tend to do much now and I have no dependents. I'm in my 20s so...
Honestly, I found it a lot easier than undergrad. What helped me was actually going to all my classes and engaging so that I could ask questions if I needed. Take advantage of all the resources provided and make sure that you do any mocks so that you can go through feedback.

Okay so today I wanted to talk about the economy. I know, I know - the UK economy is complicated. Applying for/getting a job seems harder and more competitive than ever, things are getting more expensive and... well the general vibe is off. Rest assured this is only tangentially related.
But...
Well I emailed the GR today and they encouraged me to apply anyway. Now who's to know the real truth but I'm gonna bite the bullet and send it off tomorrow.
@Abbie Whitlock seconding this. I feel like with written exercising it is all about being concise maybe? I'm not quite sure how to go about preparing though.
