I saw online that Ashurst take 50 people across the WVS and SVS so assuming 50% get a TC it’s 25/40 TCs going via VS so 15/40 via DTC?
So my guess would be 30-45 final ints, 60-90 ACs and 120-180 WEs for the DTC route, out of probs at least 2-3k apps, which is pretty cooked.
I’m just...
I haven’t applied to open days at the same firm but through Aspiring Solicitors there were a few firms I did repeat visits too (HSFK and BCLP spring to mind). I think Clifford Chance too but it was through Legal Cheek or something iirc. But I think it was for a diff event or purpose each time...
I think ACs will all be in June but they will handle all the SJTs and VIs in May. Idk why they’re taking so long same as SH. I applied to SH 50 ish days ago, they’re turning into the next Sidley…
Hey TCLA peeps,
Looks like it’s time for another app status update, so this is the latest version for this thread:
Apps that were rejections:
Winter VS apps:
Jones Day VS post app
HSF Kramer VS post app and SJT
Paul, Weiss VS post app
Cleary Gottlieb VS post app
White & Case VS post app, SJT...
The date they give in the email is the day they will send out all the PFOs. They’ve done that for a while now. So the 29 May date is rejection day.
The people that will progress to the WE will start to hear back pretty soon. That could be next week or early May, but not long left now tbh.
Ashurst should start sending WEs out next week or early May, if they follow last years’ timeline.
Mayer Brown said in the SJT VI email that ACs are in July so no reply until around June 30.
I applied to Bakers via the new portal. Were we all meant to apply via CvMail? Idk if I should submit another app now or leave it lmao…
If someone has the link to the CvMail portal can you please send it to me in PM. Probs a PFO but I don’t wan’t to self-sabotage my chances…
