Unfortunately a lot of firms are not 100% honest about when they get back after AC, especially because they don’t want people to worry and chase them.
But also maybe that person had another offer, and therefore asked RPC to get back to them early. You really can’t read into much.
I would say there’s generally no need to. It’s very hard in the digital age for a law firm to lose someone’s application. They’ll get back to you when they’re ready.

I know they did a case study last year during the interview but didn’t have a written exercise on the AC.
I wouldn’t be surprised if the written exercise has replaced it.
Hey! So I’m going to a Spring VS AC soon but I’m unlikely to be able to make the dates. They do a summer vs too.
Should I tell the firm before my AC and let them know I’d strongly prefer summer, or see if they give me an offer and then ask to switch after?
