Update...
I've applied for a few direct TCs. Here's where I'm at:
Macfarlanes - job sim done
Morgan Lewis - app done
Sullivan & Cromwell - app done
RPC - app done
WFW - rejection post VI
Quite a random mix but also trying not to let myself drop off after not converting the vac scheme. Just...
So.. as my options dwindle I am thinking of applying to a couple more DTC - probably Macfarlanes and Baker McKenzie. Are the applications and assessments pretty tough? How have people found them?
Hi!
I have previously made a post on this question - I have quoted it below! Hopefully it is a useful starting point for answering the question, but just shout if you have any questions :)
Does anyone have any insights on the Macfarlanes stage 2 simulate test? I am not really looking for what questions were asked but just trying to understand how the assessment is structured and whether it's different from the usual capp test. Feel free to PM me if you have any insights. Thank you...
...you for your great work! How would you go about answering this question? I am a bit confused as I feel like it should be structured differently from the usual "why this firm" questions.
If someone were to read your story so far, what would make them think, ‘This person belongs at Macfarlanes’?

1. Mayer Brown sent some batches of PFOs, but ACs will be held after the summer VS in July
2. Macfarlanes will update the post VI after the deadline
3. Baker sent another round of VI invites last week, they messaged people who progressed before, not posting here. They still run ACs this week.
