Edit - to avoid confusion, I meant that I received an invite to the trainee simulation exercise (I just called it a VI because it has a video element to it)
PFO’d post-AC for the spring scheme. Good luck to everyone else though, I truly hope that all of the people I met the AC are successful in getting a place because they were all so wonderful and clearly great candidates 😊
you’re too kind!! getting to the VI is an achievement too, so well done to you! I’m sure you did better than you think; my fingers are crossed for you as well 😊
exactly how I feel about my AC with links… spent so much time preparing and studying but only about 20% of what I’d expected came up 😂. definite PFO on my end as well.
Haha, part of the day includes a trainee meet and greet and the trainee I talked to said the same thing - that she had bombed the case study interview but still got the TC offer.
I’m honestly just glad it’s over and that I can move on. This was my first AC ever so I didn’t have high...
Linklaters…it was brutal. Two interviews back to back with hardly any rest time in between (this varies with the structure you’ve been assigned, I just happened to be given the worst so I was interviewed pretty much two hours in a row).
Also, everyone came out of the case study interview saying...
Thank you so much for your advice!! This is super helpful and I definitely feel a little less nervous about going in tomorrow. I’m also worried about the case study as it sounds like you need to have a very high level of commercial awareness to succeed, but I think I’ll be able to do ok as long...
I really hope so!! I like the firm and genuinely want it to be as enjoyable an experience it can be. Whatever happens, happens. Best of luck to you! I'll be able to update everyone on how it went tomorrow 😊
