I heard back on Friday with about 8 slots to choose from for the case study- ranging from this Friday to the 5th May. Had to say which ones I could do and then they were allocated on first come first serve in terms of preference.
Hope you hear back soon!
For my slaughters interview I have to take my passport but for HSF they haven’t mentioned it @Jessica Booker is it expected that candidates would bring their passport along? Should I take it just in case?
Does anyone have any tips for the HSF AC- particularly the case study presentation or scenario interview?!
I’m a little daunted by how much prior business and law knowledge I should sim to have- I’ve seen mixed feedback on this.
@Jessica Booker if you had any advice on this it would be really...
If anyone has any tips for the HSF ac I’d be so grateful!! I thought it had been so long that I would be rejected so haven’t really thought about preparing for a while.
I’m not sure what you mean?
I applied towards the end of November I think and heard back mid December (around that I can’t really remember). I didn’t get a call, I just got an email and could book an interview slot. Even in December the earliest slots were March.
Slaughter and May February interviews are all for the vac scheme. The direct TC interviews start back up in March. There might be exceptions ie if an applicant said they needed to respond to another offer, but I booked my interview at the beginning of December for March, and on the email it said...
Hi,
I can provide some insight onto this.
Shoosmiths are a firm that are ‘diversity confident’ employer, for example.
This means they interview anyone who has a disability and meets the minimum requirements.
I believe for their vac scheme, as there is no interview it just means it passes them...
I don’t know if I’m the only one who didn’t know this- but I’ll share anyway in case it helps someone else.
I almost paid for practise tests before realising my university pay for a practise test service!
so anyone doing SSTs it is worth checking if your university do the same.
Is anyone still not able to access the shoosmiths portal? I submitted a couple of weeks ago but wanted to look at my application again as I had a similar question on another app. Everytime I try to log in it just says username/password incorrect but it shouldn’t be! And then when I go to reset...
CRS extended their deadline until the end of today🥳
Is anyone else still unable to apply? I made an allhires account for CRS but it just says the vac scheme deadline has passed.
Anyone who applied for Simmons London office was the only application question the ‘details of positions of responsibility, skills and achievements’ question?
I’m applying for the Dublin vac scheme and I’m a little thrown by the lack of application questions?
grad recruitment did a Q&A on instagram and they said there's flexibility with this but anywhere between a page to page and a half.
They also said it's up to you whether you include the address etc - so if you needed wordcount you can take this out. You copy and paste it into a box as opposed to...
They said in the email to me we wouldn't hear until January - the closing date for applications was Jan 6th so they might be similar to Baker Mckenzie, who only review all VIs after they review all applications.
Also just bear in mind how many applications they have to get through - I wouldn't...
Hi, sorry I missed this!
I wouldn't like to make a recommendation as I'm by no means an expert.
I just did bullet points outlining my answer. I prepared some answers to typical questions beforehand that could be adapted to fit another question, which helped with 2/3 of the questions I got...
HSF isn't rolling- they told us at an open day they don't even know when applications were sent in when they review them. I haven't heard back either but I wouldn't overthink it until you get an answer (impossible to do I know!) Good luck.
It focuses on the firm quite heavily - so make sure you know why the firm and why YOU want to work there. Have a good idea of the kind of work the firm does. It also asks you about your strengths - so be ready to talk about what skills you have, times you have overcome difficulty etc. It's only...
