I know it can be disappointing if you had spent time trying to come up...
Does anyone know if Slaughters are still holding ACs? Their grad rec team haven’t replied to my email.
I know people who were rejected pretty quickly but I still haven’t heard anything. Any advice?
I still have not heard back from Slaughters but my friend who is a future trainee said that they stop interviewing by the end of January. Does anyone have any contrary information?
This is the last firm I am waiting to hear from and the wait is unbearable.
I am severely dyslexic and I received extra time for the tests you mention, but I have never come across a firm which allows me to be excluded from taking them (I have asked). I was particularly anxious about this for an editing assessment at Linklaters as I can easily glance over spelling...

That seems pretty unusual to me - can I ask what firm it was? I know plenty of people over the age of 25 who have been successful. If they are judging you based on your age then A) they are breaking the law B) I wouldn't want to work for them.
Thought this would be helpful:
Heard back from:
A&O (rejected based on test score)
Clifford Chance (rejected post AC)
Linklaters (secured Vac scheme)
Freshfields (secured vac scheme)
Still waiting on reply:
Slaughter and May
Kirkland
This is also a clear reflection that just because it...
