Hi @ReedSmithBecca
Good morning! Hope you're well.
Regarding the DTC, would you still encourage me to apply if I don't have a vacation scheme or formal legal work experience in the UK? Do candidates without this background face automatic rejection, or are other factors considered?
Best,
Gin
Hi! Question here again. Is it wise to apply for Stephenson Harwood's DTC without legal experience in the UK? Since the deadline is 31st July, I suppose people who failed to convert their VS will also apply. Does anyone know if SH places a high value on legal experience? Is it still worth giving...
Hey guys another question here! Will MC/US/International law firms be more harsh to international students who need sponsorship in terms of grades and work experience?
Guys after this application cycle I am very confused... What are considered to be good extracurriculars? Do you need to have a summer internship in renowned banking/consulting/financial service firms, and does it still count if it's not in the UK? Also do you need to do something really niche...
Thank you very much Amma! That's helpful. I haven't received the AC invite yet 😭 but I'm curious about the duration because I realised the date for London AC is 24th June and I just happen to have a flight that day in the afternoon. 😭
Guys guys, I'm just curious, does anyone know how long the assessment centre at Shoosmiths lasts? Like at what time does it start and when does it end?
No I said I won't have chance bc of my personal situation, not the firm.
I think it's a good sign that you haven’t received anything yet! Good luck. Wish you get invited to the AC!
Applied on 31st March and test done on 7th April. My top strengths are Incisive and Explainer but probably not the ones the firm is looking for. I have no idea but since I won't have chance to apply for this firm again I'll just let it be 😭.
