Sounds like you're doing a lot of great stuff. Definitely focus on getting the best grades possible and try do hobbies/extra curricular stuff you genuinely enjoy!
Doesn't sound like there is anything to be stressed about. 3 pages when the example is 4 is not a big difference. They will be testing your drafting skills not how persuasive you are. You want to be accurate but if it is all in the right format you should be fine. Have you had a look at the...
Agreed with James - it depends if they are really pushing you to do the direct route. Also agree that if you can get this far once you can do it again so its not make or break.
Nice problem to have! :)
Recently received a TC offer at my top choice firm. I've been a member of this forum for the past couple of years and it never felt like I was going to be on the other side of this process, posting here with an offer in hand. I had previously completed 3 vac schemes but with no offers made - it...
Squire Patton Boggs
Morrison & Foerster (apparently - I haven't checked)
Addleshaw Goddard (apparently - I haven't checked)
Jones Day only asks for 3 of your first year modules.
I did very poorly in first year and have made it through various applications which request a full breakdown...
Unfortunately the percentile doesn't reflect your percentage. Whether you have a chance to be selected will depend on the firm and whether they have a benchmark. Best of luck!
No, if it is the same as the summer one - everyone who applies should get on and it is more to give you an insight into the profession/different practice areas/topics than anything else. There is no opportunity to get a TC from there
If you've managed to get to the final stage for two top firms and an offer at another great firm you've clearly got what it takes. If you definitely want to work in London then I would turn down the offer and keep going because you will definitely get there :)
Hi All,
I have an interview coming up and I have noticed a couple of spelling mistakes on my application and I am worried they will be picked up on and asked about from my assessors. Do you have any suggestions as to how I could respond/justify myself?
You won't be eligible to apply for a VS and a TC in the same year. It is saying, the year after you fail to get a VS, you can now apply for a TC. You can't reapply in the same window
Unfortunately I'd probably wait a bit longer (probably end of next week) before asking for an update. You never know though it could be positive!
Would you mind me asking which firm this was for?
