Not yet received written contract for a VS oral offer made the last week of February. Should I just wait, as I believe some offers still going out/ they are doing conflict checking, or is this something I should be following up on @Jessica Booker
Likely depends on quality of candidates you're competing against, as well as the quality of the firm. I don't know much about Hill Dickinson, but I imagine they'll allow a lower threshold for score compared to larger firms.
Missing the phone call isn't going to act in your favour, but neither is choosing to just give up. Might as well ride it out as far as you can, you never know if GR have seen this happen a million times already and are used to it.
If GR does not send rejections, then the email is either a glitch or terribly phrased, as the email would be a rejection in itself.
The only other alternative is that PHurst already filled up their scheme with the Insight people before the deadline but that is both unlikely and incredibly...
PHurst applications are not reviewed on a rolling basis. I would email back about that, 99% sure that's a glitch. Likely when they say if you have not heard back 'then', they have missed out saying 'by then' and a related date.
Unless you missed the deadline yet were still allowed to submit for...
Honestly, I don't know - I've also never heard of a firm just asking a candidate when they fancy doing the interview, rather than just giving them a date or option of a few dates. If I were you, I would avoid telling them you can only meet after 2 weeks, what do you have going on between then...
i haven't heard of lessons being cancelled, but I would add its not uncommon for you to get into BPP for your Monday morning 9am and then being sent an email saying your class is now online which is rather irriating
I didn't say you need legal experience. I said the competition is people with strong extra curricular, society exec positions, university prestige and strong grades. The suggestion of being a paralegal was if she has since graduated uni or doesn't have enough time left to really adopt these...
Not sure, but if you can avoid BPP I would. I'm at ULaw, but a lot of friends at BPP who say its shocking. BPP have poor IT systems which either go down or prevent you logging in, they have threatened countless students that BPP would suspend their teaching for failure to make instalments...
