    @Jessica Booker Are you able to comment on the likelihood of a 2023/4 TC (at a City law firm) operating similar to the current format (i.e. pass SQE 1 and 2, then 2 years of QWE) or more like accountancy (i.e. pass SQE 1, then two years of QWE alongside studying for SQE 2)?

    March open days at Davis Polk and Vinson & Elkins were cancelled (emails said that people may be invited to attend an open day in autumn if the situation improves).

    Shouldn't have been an issue for me, since they can just see that I'm in second-year of a non-law degree and I applied before I got either A&O or GS.

    Not to toot my own horn, but with an A&O TC and Goldman summer internship, I was rejected from Kirkland's open day yesterday with you [so they didn't single you out]. At my three open days at American firms last year, the attendance was 13, 20 and 25 - the 13 one had 300 and something applicants.

    I have a Hogan Lovells interview for their summer scheme (15 June - 3 July) but just got an internship which begins from 29th June, so overlapping by a week. There's no chance that HL will allow me to do a 2 week scheme, right?

    I told them I would really like to know if they're inviting me to an AC by the end of the week (because i needed to decide between another internship's spring or summer dates) and they invited me to an AC after a couple days.

    I did, and got a positive reply by the end of the week. It was the general gradrec email, then usually someone from the grad team will email you from their personal address.
