Why didn't you get a vacation scheme in your second year of study?
If that is any comfort, on my vacation scheme with Hogan Lovells, most students, myself included, were not even reading for their undergraduate anymore. This was not an issue as we all had reasons for this! As long as you expect the question to be asked and are ready to justify your choices...- Maccie

Firms that don't recruit mainly from vac schemes/applying directly to TC
It is pretty much half and half for Hogan Lovells (source: their website). I’d definitely recommend giving it a try, you won’t be at a disadvantage if you do not do the vacation scheme there- Maccie

If that gives you any indication of Linklaters’ standard, I failed their Watson Glaser test. I also took another firm’s WG on the next day and it was the exact same test, and I passed with a 36/40 (88th percentile).
