Hi everyone!

I am a second-year law student applying for Open Days at Law firms to learn more about them in person! I was just wondering what is the general consensus/ advice on applying for the same firm (ie. HSF, Baker McKenzie, etc) for multiple open days.

Would this decrease my chances of getting in (which I hope it will not) or would this not impact it at all as each application is viewed independently?

Any and all advice would be appreciated! :)

Hi @sophieg19092005,

Great question! I think that each firm would have its own preferences and rules. For example, according to HSF Kramer's FAQ, you are allowed to apply to multiple open days. If you can't find an answer on the website on whether the firm allows multiple applications, I would strongly suggest contacting graduate recruitment first.

One thing that might be more challenging when applying to multiple open days is being able to effectively demonstrate an in-depth interest in each practice area/ type of open day. Otherwise, as long as the firm allows it, I don't see a reason not to submit multiple applications!

Good luck :)
