Hiya @vedikaaa

From my understanding, both BPP and the University of Law are quite well-established providers for the law conversion course, and both have strong relationships with City law firms. So in terms of name recognition or boosting your chances of securing a training contract, I don't think there's likely to be a significant difference. That said, there are some key differences in how the courses are structured, and I think it's worth focussing more specifically on factors like flexibility, pricing, student support, and careers support opportunities. If you can, I’d recommend speaking to someone who’s done the conversion course at each provider, as this can give you a more realistic sense of what the student experience is like. In general, I've heard students praise ULaw for the level of support and accessibility of their teachings materials, especially for students who are juggling applications alongside their studies. Ultimately, neither provider's conversion course will make or break your TC applications. Firms will care more about your academic record, legal experience, and application quality than whether you did your conversion at BPP or ULaw. So just make sure that whichever provider you choose, it's one that will help ensure a strong academic record and good careers support services.

If ULaw and BPP are the only ones you're considering, I would go for ULaw. If you don't have a TC, my anecdotal evidence is that you will be treated a lot better at ULaw. For context, I did the the conversion course and City Consortium Programme at BPP and the difference in my treatment between being sponsored and non-sponsored was stark. That said, either is a good option.

I can’t speak to the Law Conversion Course, but my experience with BPP for the SQE was disappointing. Lecturers often arrived late, were frequently changed, and several sessions were cancelled without notice. As we were attending in person, it was incredibly frustrating to travel in only to find the class had been cancelled. Complaints went unresolved.

I’m now being sponsored to study at ULaw, and based on feedback from previous trainees, ULaw is considered significantly better.
